Cost of Overseas Education in United Kingdom

UK Student Visa Requirements


A student visa is mandatory to study in any university within the UK. UK student visas are of two types – short-term study visa and Tier 4 student visa. Students can apply for either of these two visas after a UK university provides them with an acceptance letter. UK student visas are commonly issued based on points-based system. Listed are some of the major UK student visa requirements:

  • An unconditional acceptance letter from a UK university recognized as a Tier 4 sponsor. (CAS reference number and associated documents)
  • A Valid IELTS or TOEFL score
  • Must show intention to leave the country within 30 days after completing the program.
  • A valid passport and related travel documentation
  • Must be of good health and should be willing to undergo a tuberculosis screening if needed.
